HEY! I’M SOLVI…
I first came to the U.S. from Norway as a summer exchange student, never imagining the life that would unfold from that one decision. I returned two years later as an Au Pair in Nashville, planning to stay a year, but six years passed, filled with growth and adventure.
Eventually I moved to northern California, built a family, and raised two wonderful boys who are now 26 and 28. Life took another turn when I took a leap and moved to beautiful San Diego. I'd been on my own for a while and after 28 yrs in the same city I was ready for a new beginning. For the first time in years, I had time to stop and ask myself a question I had always pushed aside: “What do I actually want?”
With fresh ocean air, long beach walks and time to reflect, I realized I didn’t just want to work hard. I wanted freedom to travel, visit my boys, return to Norway, explore new places, and live life on my own terms. I wanted a career that matched the resilient, optimistic, determined woman I had become.
The more I trusted my path, the more possibilities began to appear.
THE JOURNEY THAT LED ME HERE: My work history has been full and varied, including working for travel agencies, selling jewelry in Nashville, 15 years running a Kirby vacuum distribution business (with my former husband) and nearly a decade in car sales.
I’ve always been driven, always positive, always the one who keeps going no matter what. But long hours, pressure, and a changing market pushed me to exhaustion.
A few health scares, back surgery and a bout of vertigo, made me realize something important: I needed a way to earn a living that didn’t depend on my physical strength or endless hours. I needed something sustainable, flexible, and aligned with the life I wanted to create.
THE SPARK OF POSSIBILITY: I’ve always loved Personal Development - seminars, positive environments, and helping others grow. So, when I discovered the Personal Development business I’m now partnered with, the feeling was immediate.
It didn’t feel like starting something new. It felt like finally finding what I’d been looking for all along. This business gives me exactly what I wanted: portability, flexibility, and the ability to create a life I can love at any age, even into my 90s if I choose.
